Every girl has her time, take two.
Okay, let's try this post again.

As far as shipping goes, my motto is "every girl has her time". Very few of us are lucky enough to find our destined mate early in life and even if we do, they may not be who we need at the time or vise versa. Everyone we form a relationship with, romantic or otherwise, molds us into who we become. It's really no different for fictional characters. This is why I'm a multi-shipper and why ship wars irritate me to no end. Why pick one ship when I can have an armada?
Note: Nearly all these ships have been ruined or could be ruined based on Smallville track record, but I will try to stay as positive as possible.

Clark & Lois: I start with this ship because it is the ship of the Superman mythology. I'm more of a Batman girl, so I don't have a lot of knowledge of Superman from any medium, so I have an interesting position when looking at these two. Since becoming a Smallville fan, I've been watching a little Lois & Clark and Superman: The Animated Series, just to get some perspective. While at first I couldn't imagine the Smallville verison of the characters together, I've slowly began to think otherwise. I don't think it would be as tight as the Clois over the years has been, but it would still make for a wonderful pairing. As much as they argue, they really care for each other. I'm not sure if it could be realistically worked into the show given her reasons for breaking it off with Oliver Queen, but in time that could change.

Clark & Chloe: As said by the infamous AlMiles, Chloe Sullivan was supposed to be Smallville's Lois Lane. I'm not talking Chlois here, I'm talking, in their own words, "Lois prototype". Give this information, Chlark should be at the very least a transitional relationship. She is his type of girl, the girl out for "truth, justice...and other stuff." They've been through hell and back together and have a very strong bond with each other. There's still a very solid feeling to it like with Clois but with a little lighter quality. I think that's why Chlark is my favorite ship. No offense to Lois, but she's...well...a little brash.

On Chlois: I'm not completely on the Chlois bandwagon, but it's a nice idea. I'll probably write a Chlois fic eventually.

Clark & Lana: I think while they were still in high school, Clark and Lana were perfect for each other. She was the typical sweet girl next door and he was the guy you'd want to bring home to your parents, if they were still alive. Over the years, though, they've grown out of each other. I still love some of the moments since high school, but in my heart their romance stays in the past.

Lex & Lana: This is where Lana should be in my opinion. I think they grew into each other quite nicely, or evilly should I say. I think Lana could make a great villainess alongside Lex. Even if they'd followed up on the kiss from Wrath, I'm sure the love/hate relationship could have been wonderfully complex, akin to the early seasons' Lionel/Lex interaction.

Jimmy & Chloe: Truly Clana 2.0. They were great at the beginning but I feel they should move on from one another.

Jimmy & Kara: I'm not really sure why I like them together. I will edit this section when I figure it out.

TO BE CONTINUED...
